We’re looking forward to our trip to LA for the JetSet Extra Social on Sunday. As the official Ground Transportation Sponsor, we’re here to help you get from the airport to LA for the event, at a great discounted rate! So, naturally we asked our friends at JetSetExtra for a few LA tips to share. Whether you’re in LA for a few days for the event, or an Angeleno yourself, here are a few tips from them.
LA offers 75 miles of coastline, a busy downtown area, arts, diverse culture, and of course is home to many rich and famous. The Social takes place at Union Station- an architecturally beautiful building, known as the last great American rail station. This downtown LA transportation hub also contains many places to eat and shop, as well as offices. The building is a city landmark and a favorite site for movie directors. Movie scenes filmed there include those from Nick of Time starring Johnny Depp, and Seabiscuit starring Tobey Maguire, in addition to Speed, Pearl Harbor, and Blade Runner.

The Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) is the largest encyclopedic art museum in the western United States. LACMA’s seven-building complex is in LA’s Miracle Mile District. Its collections include more than 100,000 works that span the history of art from ancient times to the present.
The Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County (NHM) has amassed one of the world’s most extensive and valuable collections of natural and cultural history — more than 35 million objects, some as old as 4.5 billion years.
When NHM celebrates its 100th anniversary in 2013, the Museum will have re-imagined seven galleries, installed five new permanent exhibitions and reclaimed approximately 3.5 acres of green space to create an innovative outdoor learning laboratory in the heart of the city.
